From the Pastor:

As your pastor, I am called into the ministry of the church at large in addition to the responsibilities of shepherding Ebenezer. In addition to ‘church at large’, pastors are understood in our synodical context to be called to a congregation and to those outside the fold. In serving the church at large I was elected to our local Circuit 14 position of Circuit Visitor. You may recall Pastor Elliot Lutz’s service to Ebenezer during the pastoral vacancy. I will be serving in that role for local LCMS congregations. Also, as your pastor I will be attending the Southeastern District Convention (Richmond, VA) during the first full week in May. This convention does not require me to miss any Sundays. As for the call to the lost, one of the many avenues for this gathering of the lost is through our missionary efforts via LWML. The mission approach of LWML has always been something I admire. So, I agreed to be nominated as Pastoral Counselor in the local and District levels of LWML. In that role I will be attending the National LWML Convention in late June of this year. The national level convention in Omaha (NE) requires me to miss one Sunday, June 29. Please pray for me in these roles, and at these conventions.
