I have been blessed with two opportunities to celebrate the church at large this August. I will be driving to Camp Linn Haven for the LWML Carolinas District Retreat. I will be there for worship on Sunday August 17, representing not only our Ebenezer LWML, but our congregation’s support for the camp. Camp Linn Haven has meant so much, and is valued even more today, following the Helene damage and rebuild!
The following week I will be flying back to Nevada to participate in the 130th Anniversary celebration of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville. I will be missing services here on August 24, but worshipping with my former congregation, and bringing my recollections of the ‘Covid era’ church and its impact. I will, of course, take advantage of my time there to see my mom in Reno, my son Andrew, and my brother Mark and his family. I hope to find a day to go to Lake Tahoe as well! Please pray for safe travel for Martha and me.
I will return to worship with you on Sunday August 31, which is the 5th Sunday in August, and so it will be a Unity Worship at 10am.
